Mac for Professionals
First of all, I do still love and enjoy using my Mac very much (and looking forwards to grab new Air when the time is right). But I feel that in past few years, Apple seems to neglect the professional side of the machine and make it more consumer-ise (my make-up word). I can understand the marketing point of view but maybe, keeping a bit of Mac for niche market would be ideal for me. Just to keep...

Another Bundle Sold!
It has been awhile I last bought any bundle, except the games from HumbleBundle (and, yes, I know a long time with updating this site as well). Anyway, today I decided to grab another (good) bundle from MacHeist - NanoBundle 3 (http://macheist.com/). Basically, I only would love to use Fantastical and CleanMyMac 2. Though the later is simply out of my curiosity since you do not really need to...

That is spooky. I only stayed on iTunes for 5 - 10 minutes and already spent the store credit of $22.17 for the following items: “Bon Jovi Greatest Hit - Ultimate Collection” at the price of $9.99 (https://itunes.apple.com/au/album/bon-jovi-greatest-hits-ultimate/id398138370) A whooping 33 songs collection! (16 and 17, double album discs) “Sarah Blasko - I awake” at the...

I had a chance to watch around 70 minutes of the game time last night. I would say, it was not a proud moment of LFC supporter as myself. However, it is just a flow in the game and, well, either you are the beneficial or the one on the other end, it is an outcome that could not be changed and just move on. Yet, I would not be surprised if my team had actually lost the match since they played...

If Liverpool (LFC) cannot beat QPR this weekend, I will buy FM2013 to manage the team myself. That is the statement I told my friends this morning. It sounds funny and sarcastically but indeed with a hint of bitterness. To tell you the truth, I stop playing FM since 2009 version. As a long time fan, I had started playing since it was still CM2 (before they did split into CM and FM). It was a...

Though not something that happens down here. But in the digital age, that is not something that can stop me basically. Let’s ONLINE blackFriday shopping begin :-P Let’s see how much damage I can do to my credit card (most likely would be the app and little bit of gadgets). EDIT: Bummer >.<” No iPad mini on sale at AU Apple store for this Black Friday. Sad, but expected...

Highly recommend. I played the first one and really like it -  the game is well crafted. So, I presume that the second should be even better and the best of all, it is FREE!

MacHeist 4 bundle (less than 24 hours left) →
I have been spending on MacHeist bundles since the first one without any hesitation. But for some reasons, I somehow could not set up my mind to spend another 29 bucks (probably less in AUD) for this 4th bundle. Not that, it is not a good bundle. It is packed with a lot of well-known games and applications. But I just could not find the use for them and for some, I already have the apps that can...

90 Things I've Learned From Founding 4 Technology... →
betashop: On October 27, 2010 I wrote a blog post about the “57 Things I Learned Founding 3 Tech Companies.” It has been awesome, flattering, and humbling to see that post went viral and has been seen by so many thousands of people — mainly aspiring entrepreneurs — and has been translated into many… If you have time, please read it ;-)

First, please read this answer by Neil Gaiman to one of his followers from this URL - http://neil-gaiman.tumblr.com/post/32758425397/have-you-ever-written-something-that-you-worried-your (actually, I am his big fan also but just do not have anything to ask or not enough courage to send it. Simply, just wanna say, thanks for writing such a wonderful novels, books, scripts and so on). Anyway, here...

VOX by Kawehi (Kickstarter) →
There, I finally had time to do it! This is kinda a last minute pledge since as I said before work is getting in a way of my everyday life lately as I get more responsibilities (of course, higher pay ~). Anyway, my favourite kickstarter artist has launched another project, so there is no brainer for me to support her once again. But, there are only less than 40 hours left. My bad...

Prefer Get More rather than Pay Less? →
I kinda agree. Marketing is a mind game (and in this context math game) sometimes. Just like setting a price at 99 instead of 100 … psychologically … it may have some effects in making the decision to buy easier. Furthermore, like Buy One Get One Free, instead of 50% Off. I don’t like it at all since, well, I end up getting to have something one EXTRA! when originally I only need...

Kawehi, *POP*
Roughly 3 months ago, I first heard this performance via vimeo (shared by p’mac on FB). Criminal from Kawehi on Vimeo. Not being exaggerated, I was indeed mesmerised by her performance, especially able to  turn Britney’s song into something worth listening to by only using her vocal. And, from that video clip, it led to her kick-starter project. Basically, I sat on the thought over...

Steam Summer Sale (Winter for some) →
For those that have been waiting for this sale, prepare to say good bye to your hard-earned cash. Please be aware that right now, steam servers seem to be under a heavy traffic (the site is getting hammered by bargain hunters). So, be patient. Words of advice: If you still hesitate in buying some games, check whether they are at least 70% off. If not, maybe you can wait until the last day of the...

Ifttt - revisted
Sometimes, last year, I had a chance to learn about new web service that somewhat remind me so much about mac automator function. It is a clever and smart web service nevertheless, despite a funny name - yet meaningful in its way. Since that time, I still use If This, Then That services. Due to the fact that I only need to set it up once and can just forget about it. The web application will keep...

Umm, I think I am a bit of a neat freak (the definition in term of measurement of “a bit” might vary from person to person :-P). I just realise that I am using iCal (including Reminders app), Wunderlist and Wunderkit to organise my tasks and projects. Yes, all three! I cannot believe that I need that many. But well, so far, they do pretty good job and I am able to keep everything on...

The Art of Email Signatures →
Follow up on my previous rant, I am so tempting to forward this URL to that particular person. But … well … don’t think I should start offending people this early of the week :-P Anyway, though this article was written two years ago, the concept and idea are still decent and good enough to apply in current time. For me, the concept of creating your BUSINESS* email signature is...

Long email signature
I know that adding a proper signature at the end of each email is somewhat important and informative in certain way. I do it also but few people go out of control in doing it. Gee! half a (A4) page long of signature, while your content is merely one paragraph. >.<” Well, let’s just skip the content of email and go straight to the signature part ~ Dr <NAME> BSc, DipHA,...

“The best IS-ers* that I know, most of them have the soul of programmer.”
– I have a feeling that nowadays, actually it has been liked this for many years, IS people do not like to learn programming that much (closest example would be few of my friends whom graduated with me over 10 years ago). They do think that it is not necessary in their line of work. And, probably they...

delete photos from Photo Stream
Until now, I am still pretty confused on how Photo Stream works between OS X and iOS and between both operating systems and cloud service in term of remove or deleting the photos. It does not make sense so far but I think it is time to do a bit of searching. However, this will do tonight. Now, I only start the topic as a reminder that I will need to solve this curiosity later on. For now, back to...

Pixelmator half price (only AUD15.99) →
Considering I paid more than double this last year. So, this is pretty good price for a nice app (though not consider the alternative of photoshop just yet but it is getting close enough in each update). Maybe the promotion in the event of WWDC. Try to stay awake to see the details of new Air. But I do not think I can do it, very sleepy now.
